Chris Bradley Memorial Fund

We are heartbroken to share that my dad, Chris Bradley passed away on Saturday January 16, 2021. Although he was living with cancer, his death was sudden and unexpected.  It was never anticipated that a two-day hospital visit for a cancer treatment would turn into catastrophic organ failure that progressed so quickly.

He was an amazing Dad, Brother, Grandpa, Husband, Friend and Coach.  He loved teaching tennis, going to any Stanford sporting event (especially football games), Giant's games, 49er games and Warriors games. Dad loved to listen to and attend live music.  He was a Deadhead for life and could almost always be seen wearing a tie-dyed shirt.  In everything he did, he always had a smile on his face.  He was truly loved by all and has made an impact on so many people both young and old.

Dad ALWAYS put his family first. He was the biggest supporter of my dance studio, never missing a single recital or performance. He sold concessions, or flowers; making friends with everyone.  Most who knew him, knew that he was my brother's primary caregiver after my mom passed away in 2015.  Matthew was diagnosed with Eisenmonger's Syndrome with irreversible pulmonary hypertension at birth. He underwent many surgeries as a child and in 1987 was given 5 to 10 years to live by his medical team at Stanford. Amazingly, Matthew has defied all odds and has outlived both of our parents at age 47.  Due to his condition , Matthew has never been able to work or drive. Dad made sure that all of his medical needs were taken care of as well as his household needs. My dad adored his 3 grandchildren and went out of his way to send them videos letting them know how much he loved them when he was not able to visit due to health.

Unfortunately, due to his condition's dad was unable to have Life lnsurance.  Our goal in setting up this fund is to help support my brother Matthew with his continued living expenses and the upkeep of our childhood home where he still lives.  Although I live in Long Beach, CA which is 400 miles away, I will continue my dad's legacy from a far.  I will  be taking over as Matthew's primary caregiver and covering all medical and household expenses for Matthew.  This fund is also to help support Catherine in covering  medical expenses, cremation costs and any other unexpected expenses that may be incurred after his passing.

We feel so lucky to have had my dad for the time that we did. He touched countless lives, and will be missed every day by all of us and many many more!!

We are all so grateful for your kind words and support. Celebration of his life is TBD due to Coronavirus restrictions. We will keep everyone posted!!

With Love,
-Celinda, Matthew, Ethan, William, Savannah Sue and Catherine
